Located near Silverlake, Tiki Ti is seriously one of the most amazing places in LA. It is so small, there is almost always a wait after 8pm, but if you ask me it adds to the already cluttered, half-handed Hawaiian cultural mecca that this place truly is. There are 2 bartenders (father & son) and everything surrounding is Jimmy Buffet meets Tiki Gods meets Gilligans Island (before the Harlem Globetrotters stopped by the island).

I suggest the most delicious drink to be the Hawaiian Twist at $9. I don't know it's strength because I only had a sip, but flavor alone is enough to make you scream "da kine!" and eat some spam.

For some chutzpah, I would reccommend the Tiki Kangaroo. No flavor but will F you in the A.

The ultimate favorite is Ray's Mistake. It's $9 and will deliver flavor and liquor simultaneously.

NOTE: Ask for the donkey or the puzzle and you are in for the most amazing FREE thing in your life! (Not exaggerating)

Very close to Intelligensia, and walking distance to AKBAR this is a great place to start or finish your night.

Beach Bike Ride

Recently I biked about 11 miles from Westchester to Redondo Beach via Playa Del Rey (stop at Tanner's Coffee for a pre-trip break). The indirect way of getting there (biking the Ballona Creek Bike Path) is so fullfilling you will question the very existence of "short cuts" altogether!

Here's the map info for a day of majesty...

Did I forget to mention the "excitement factor"? On my ride I witnessed a war film being shot and also a hang glider flew over my head!

Once you reach Redondo you can just hop on the Beach Cities Transit bus #109 and head home to LAX. It's that simple.

Why is this necessary?

The only sites I can find on the internet dedicated to having fun in LA include overpriced restaurants or doing blow at Le Deux...which, as it turns out, is severely overrated.

In my current funemplyed stage of life, I stumble across LA gems daily, and I just gotta share them with the world...or the 3 people who read this.
